Since nearly half a century, following the tremendous reform of Chinese community, the style and feature of the illustrative art of Chinese books has also had significant changes. Generally, from the founding of new China to the beginning of 80's, the mainstream of the Chinese illustrative art was the revolutionary style of idealism. China became the consumptive society in the 1990s, as the popular and public culture was in vogue, the visions of people were also consumptive gradually. The aesthetic recognition of the illustration in this period happened the alteration that the homiletic one turned to the diverting one, and the knowledgeable one to the recreational one. Pursuing the consumptionization of vision, it reveals the leisure and entertaining character. Thus, the art of illustration also presented a variety of artistic styles and features.
