As one independent genre of literature, Uge's development in 19thcentury in the history of Mongolian literature cannot be overlooked.Select some animals and plants or lifeless matters most draws close to theMongolian people practical life, personifies them and expresses theauthor's thought through their words, is the most remarkablecharacteristic of Uge distinguishes from other literature styles.This dissertation works at comprehensive studying about Uge,summarizes its specific feature, and evaluates its status in the history ofMongolian literature.The article is composed of five parts: preface, main body, conclusion,reference books and appendix. In preface, briefly explains the objects anddeals with the research situation of predecessor, reason of choosing theobjects and the purpose of study. The first chapter mainly discusses theform and framework of Uge. The second chapter discusses the contentand thought of Uge from two aspects that criticizing a variety of vicesin feudal society and advocating religious commiseration. The thirdchapter seeks the reason of Uge can be an independent genre of literaturefrom three angles such as oral literary tradition, the influence from Indianand Tibetan literature, the social settings at that time etc. The fourthchapter summarizes the characteristic of Uge differs from other literaturestyles, meanwhile, evaluates its important status in the history ofMongolian literature. And the conclusion is a statement summarizing theimportant points of the thesis.
