Meanwhile, Lao She novel is proper to be adapted, it provides the possibility for Lao She novels' film and television adaptation. Film and television adaptation is a kind of explanations through film and television medium to the original work. The article aims at examining the advantages and disadvantages of filmic narration and discussing the merits and demerits of adaptation, and benefit for the adaptation in the future.After an intensive reading of two kinds of texts, the article does a comparative study these texts. Although the film "Luotuoxiangzi" attenuated Xiangzi's central status, also weakened his tragic destiny performance. The director Lingzifeng's modification was in the foundation of respecting the original work's spirit. The whole film basically reflected the original work's artistic style. Soap opera "Sishitongtang" basically manified the novel's spirit and the appearance, the people of the enemy-occupied area under the alien race invader's rule, how struggles difficultly, and their slow awakening process. But the Soap opera has the insufficiency in the performance of reflecting nationalistic weakness exposition and the criticism. The film "Yueya" reappeared the original work's primary intension spirit, it also excavated the social reasons which lead to my tragic destiny. It reserved the novel's prose style, and revealed the strong poem ideal condition in the structure and emotion main key. But it didn't exert the performance about "Yueya". The film "Lihun" threaded up the novel's criticism subject and the spirit, embodied the artistic style of mixing sadness with happiness. It closely revolved Laoli's appreciation and love to Mrs ma, portrayed the impetus plot development. In this film, the love plot was dealed with carefully and had the full flavor. However, it didn't make Laoli's spiritless and disposition character pass through the whole film. In the soap operas "Luotuoxiangzi", "Lihun", "Erma", "Wozheyibeizi", one opera was unsuccessful, other were successful. For the influence of the culture environment on these four soap operas, the operas spread the plot out, the key word was to look the plot whether or not conforms to the novel's primary intention and the entire plot development.Through the brief analysis to the film and television adaptation of Lao Shes' novels, we could sum up some rules. In the process of film and television adaptation, we could have both the consciousness of respecting the original work and the spirit which creates again. By unifying these two, we could finish the film and television adaptation well. There are positive sense and negative consequences of carrying on the famous work's adaptation. So long as based on mutually promote with each other, the literature and the film and television will maintain and develop their own art natural disposition, and get on well with each other.
