Practical Instrument Law Dictionary Translation And Its Review

Instrumentation is an important part of orchestration education of music composition and is an important basic program of other subspecialties of musicology as well. This paper translated, introduced and analyzed a textbook named Essential Dictionary of Orchestration written by American musician David Black and reviewed the domestic instrumentational textbook in use as a whole. A comparison between Essential Dictionary of Orchestration and domestic instrumentational textbook was made so as to improve the construction of domestic instrumentational textbook and provide meaningful references of technic and literature for the construction and development of the discipline of music composition.
