| The military novel becomes a particular part in the literature field because of its intense tendency of mainstream ideology. It came to its culmination by monopolizing full literature field of china in 17 years and appeared the second boom in 1980's. Both of them draw much attention of readers and critics, but in 1990's it looks drawing relatively less attention. To clearly grasp the entire creative situation and the development trend of military novel in 1990's, this paper makes a solid study of it by comparing method, which is, comparing the military novels of 1990's with the military novels of 17 years' and 1980's on its content, subject and artistic style, and then, proposes its new features. The study shows that the new features of 1990's military novel makes it excel on aspects of thought and art, and thus, plays an important role in the development history of military novel.Firstly, focusing on the subject of war, the paper points the exceeding of the military novel in 1990's to its former, including its thoroughly thinking about the nature of war, the relationship between war and peace, and its being deeply concerned about the destiny of peoples in the war. Secondly, focusing on the subject of heroism, from weakening the traditional heroism originally to seeking and rebuilding heroism in middle and late 1990's, the paper discusses the changes of heroism in 1990's, and what the rebuilt new hero figures reflect of the readers' aesthetic requirement in these changes. Then, taking several representative work as example, illustrates the new view brought by the military novel in 1990's on several aspect including narrative structure, narrative views and creative means. Finally, by concluding the development course of the contemporary military novel, considers that the liberation of current social culture environment, the influence of readers' expectation and the writers' creative consciousness together make the 1990's military novel form its distinguishing features. |
