The choral music was mainly spread in China's society around the 20th century with the western capitalist countries' invasion in the political, economical, martial, cultural, and other aspects. In the 1940s, as China's social activities of the music booming, Chinese professional music education and the development of the spirit of the times calls, Chinese choral music has got a new development in both the ideological and artistic aspects.This paper was mainly concerned with the "Choral Music", a western culture's introduction and development in Beijing. The paper was based on a number of precious choral concert program lists in the 1940s and investigated the development of the choral music in Beijing of the 1940s.The full text was divided into two parts. Mainly from the first part of "The early introduction of choral music" "Choral Music in Beijing's early music education development" and "Beijing's anti-Japanese and national salvation choir activities, " provided an overview of the development of Choral music in Beijing before the 1940s. The second part focused on the 60 pieces of 1940s choral music program lists .It investigated the development of Choral Music of Beijing in the 1940s from three parts : "The activities of choral groups," "The musicians active on the choir stages", " The themes and contents of the choral music in Beijing ".
