Different from "Switching-period Historic Opinion," "Transition-period Historic Opinion" views from the history actuality, discussing the survival pattern which is proper for its own development. Liang Qichao's poetic viewpoint is an attempting poetic theory which is exploring the Chinese classical poets' survival and developing pattern. This thesis includes three parts: the content of this attempting poetic theory, its inherent dilemma and reasons. The first part discusses the content of Liang Qichao's poetic viewpoint. Based on this, it states the transition significance and the dilemma of Liang Qichao's poetic viewpoint. This thesis just embarks from Liang Qichao's poetic viewpoint, probing into his theory's paradox factors and the causes. In the second part, the author discusses the paradox factors of Liang Qichao's poetic viewpoint from four aspects: the Language, the meaning, the enlightenment and the acceptance. From the language aspect, this thesis introduces Liang Qichao's saying literature viewpoint in which speech and words are combined. Then the author compares Liang Qichao's saying literature viewpoint with Hu Shi's opinion in "Saying campaign". From their different understanding of "saying", the virtues and shortcomings of historic context and language context in saying and literary are realized. From the meaning aspect, this thesis first brings in the "Misreading Theory". Then from Liang Qichao's consciously misreading Bailun's and Huang Zunxian's poets, it describes the misreading phenomenon's appearance in neoteric China, emphasizing on the reasons why Liang Qichao misread Bailan's and Huang Zunxian's poets during the transition. Finally the author illuminates the constructive influence that misreading affects on literature and the history of culture, and states the paradoxical relation between individual perception and literature misreading. From the acceptance aspect, stemming from Pro. Lewensen's argument that Liang Qichao rebelled in mentality and attached in sensation, the thesis explains the reasons why Liang Qichao unceasingly changed his attitude on the acceptance of eastern or western culture. This thesis mainly analyzes Liang Qichao's psychology including the acceptance and negation of traditional culture and the combination of eastern and western culture, pointing out that multiplex of culture and disunion of individual are the main factors that restrict the ambition of eastern and western culture. From the enlightenment aspect, this thesis discusses that popularity incline and elite consciousness divide in Liang Qichao's poetic theory, and probes into Liang Qichao's torturous struggling between literature utility and aesthetic quality. The thesis discusses the reasons that cause "The Poetic Revolution" and its error, analyzes Liang Qichao's representation of elite consciousness and particularity of his interest, and points out a paradoxical circular development of popularity, sociality elite and interest. In the third part, the thesis mainly talks about the reasons why there appears paradox in Liang Qichao's poetic viewpoint. Subjectively, it is connected with Liang Qichao's doubled-culture personal character of "liquid flexibility". Objectively, it is caused by doubled-face factor of the history of "Transition Period", doubled-face factor of literature, Wang Yangming's mental theory and Liang Qichao's philosophy of inner-outer accommodation. In the end, the thesis states that Liang Qichao, as a accommodation progressive person, preferred regulation than revolution to develop the society. His thinking manner is not "selective", but "alternative". He made a lot of effort to save our country and protect our people. The precious heritage in his poetic viewpoint will be gradually recognized.
