The Ningxia Jingyuan Hui "springboard" Investigation And Research

This dissertation takes Tajiao dance which subsistence in the Yuanzi village of Jingyuan county, NINGXIA Hui autonomous region in northwest of China as its research object. The dissertation studies the dance in the great background of history and culture according to the relational theories and research methods of sociology, folklore, especially choreoecology and cultural anthropology. The dissertation hopes to find out which environmental factors affect and restrict the appearance and development of Tajiao dance by reviewing and studying synthetically. The dissertation studies and explains the origin, the development, the basic configurations, the cultural characteristics, the social functions and the problems of convection and variance in a comparatively systematic, general and thorough way. The dissertation also analyses the aesthetic characters of form and content of the dance.The dissertation is made up of six parts:The exordium shows the reasons of choose the topic, summarizes the correlative researching productions, introduces the academic foundation, explains the researching materials adopted, clarifies the researching methods and the basic considerations.The first chapter summarizes the history, the cultural backgroundand the actuality of the Tajiao dance. The author analyzed abstractly some different folklore about the Jinyuan Tajiao dance and compared with Tantui which also exists in the traditional martial art of Hui minority. And then the author shows her own opinions on the dance's developing skeleton and believes that Tajiao and Tantui share with a same historic origin.The second chapter expatiates the Tajiao dance played an very important role in Muslim traditional festival through study on the occasion which the dance exercises. The author analyses generally the configuration characteristics of the dance based on spot investigation carried on Yuanzi village, Xiangshui town, Jingyuan county in NINGXIA HUI autonomous region, and then gets a conclusion that the Tajiao dance has a consanguineous relationship with the living convention and the religion of Hui minority.The third chapter explains the historical origin, cultural characteristics and social functions of the Tajiao dance with the methods of cultural anthropology, sociology, folklore and orchestic oecology in a systematic way. And then open out the cultural characteristics that the martial art and the dancing combined and evolved in the traditional Chinese culture by analyzing and investigation on the noumenon reviewed.The forth chapter discusses the succeeding and variance of theTajiao dance by reviewing and analyzing the actuality of Tajiao dance, and then puts forward some consideration on how to protect and develop the Tajiao dance.The epilogue summarizes and generalizes the epistemic productions of this dissertation.
