This article first elaborates Leibniz's reflection and critique to the modern epistemological thinking mode. And it elaborates all sorts of contradictions between "the spot cannot be divided" and "the continuity", the material atom and the concept of substance, as well as "generality" and "individuality" in the modern epistemological thinking mode. It further inquires into the critique angle and method that Leibniz carries on the denial to the modern epistemological thinking mode. Secondly, the article elaborates the modern thinking mode with emphasis that the Leibniz philosophy sprouts. It elaborates activity, self-determination, individual independent and universal harmony, the identity can't be distinguished, contradiction, the sufficient reason principle, the full-body principle and other basic principles in the Leibniz philosophy, mainly from Leibniz's stipulation of spiritual monad, the harmonious relation between monads, as well as the stipulation of the relation between perceptual experience and the abstract rationality, "the factual truth" and "the inferential truth", kindness and evil. And it further excavates the modern thinking mode clue and the dialectical elements in the Leibniz philosophy. Thirdly, it looks over the entire Leibniz philosophy and its significance to the modern thinking mode. Through the demonstration above, this article explains the Leibniz philosophy from a new horizon again, excavates the seed of modern thought in it, attempts to discover the productional reason and the root of modern thinking mode, affirms his contribution to modern philosophy development, understands and grasps the contemporary implication of Leibniz's philosophy more deeply.
