has basically reflected the appearance of Chinese in the period of Wei Jin and the Northern and Southern Dynasties, so it's very important in the study of Chinese language history.Through researching the personal pronouns in the , we can find out the basic appearance of personal pronouns in that period, and some characteristics that the personal pronouns developed from ancient times to the middle ancient times.The personal pronouns in this thesis include the first personal, second personal and the third personal pronouns, and the third personal pronouns just refer to people。This thesis observes the first personal pronouns such as 'wo'(我), 'wu'(吾), 'yu'(余). 'yu'(予), 'shen'(身), 'zhen'(朕), 'e'(阿)", the second personal pronouns as 'ru'(汝), 'er'(尔), and the third personal pronouns as 'zhi'(之), 'qi'(其), 'bi'(彼), 'yi'(伊), 'ji'(已)in one by one, analysis their functions and meanings, and compares them with the of Zhou Fagao——which has analyzed the personal pronoun in ancient times .In the first personal pronoun, 'wo'(我) expanded on usage and quantity to some extent, it had a trend of replacing other first personal pronouns.Many second personal pronouns in ancient times unified for 'ru'(汝) and 'er'(尔) at that time.In the third personal pronouns, 'qi'(其) had got some new functions, and some new words as 'yi'(伊) and 'ji'(已) had appeared, from demonstrative pronoun or reflex pronoun.All these indicate that in Wei Jin and the Northern and Southern Dynasties period, personal pronouns are in the course of forming an integrated system.
