"book Of Songs" War Lord Poetry Study

The Classic of the Songs is the earliest songs in our country. The songs about war and corvee in it are the fountainhead of the songs about border area in Han and Tang dynasty. Scholars in this field , until now, had different appellations and divisions about them(such as zhengshu songs, xingyi songs, and escuage songs). These arguments indicate that the songs about war and corvee still have their researchful values as the important theme of the Classic of the Songs.The former scholars sometimes ascribed them to the continuing of the narrative songs or historical songs. But this sort of division sometimes covered the original values of the songs about war and corvee. Here we regard the narrative songs and lyrics as the songs about war and corvee, which took the war and corvee as themes, with the percentage of 10%. The researchful aim of this article is to analyze the reason why the artistic type of this kind of songs is formed, based on totally researching the songs of war and corvee in the classics of the songs, combining the Zhou Dynasty's characteristic in cultural psychology, and the history of Zhou dynasty, so as to understand the value and meaning of this kind of songs more deeply and assess them externally.
