Menglong Popular Literature Research

Feng Menglong,who not only with abundant practice on light literature but also put forward relatively comprehensive views of light literature, was a representative figure of light literature among the late Ming Dynasty. On the basis of entering on the social environment of the late Ming Dynasty, this thesis try hard to analyse the specific exhibition of Feng Menglong's views on light literature, survey the core of them and reveal the apocalypse of his views to modern society according to the two aspects mentioned above, as a consequence, enrich the research conducted by academic community to Feng Menglong.There are four parts in this thesis:In part one, the author analyse the reasons for the formation of Feng Menglong's views on light literature starting with studying the social environment of the late Ming Dynasty, point out that it is the social economy and culture environment that provides the outer foundation while Feng Menglong's unique experience and his individuated consciousness gives a inner guarantee to the formation of his views.In part two, the author reviews the specific exhibition of Feng Menglong's views on light literature, turn especially on fiction, ballad, traditional opera and essays.In part three, on the basis of part two, the author post that ,as the core of Feng Menglong's views on light literature ,"catering to the temporal"itself contains two aspects: attaching importance to the psychology of the audience in order to cater to them as well as persevering the writer's social responsibility for the sake of curing the temporal, the method is precisely above"the sentiment teaches"based on"the sentiment".In part four, relating the state of the development of light literature, the author probe into the apocalypse of Feng Menglong's views on light literature to modern society.
