"mean" Philosophy

Confucianism is the main body of Chinese philosophy,and it represents the thought style of Chinese.The society principle which had been advanced and initiated by Confucianist formed the main behaviour style of Chinese.In the long history, The Doctrine of the Mean have a essential position and function.It followed the humanism source of Xizhou dynasty and advanced the current of Neo-confucianism of Song and Ming dynasty,and made a great contribution to the Confucianism philosophy and even all the Chinese philosophy.Now the tendency of society's ecnomisim and informationalism is clearer and clearer,enslavement of mater to human is just more and more serious,the limit of the west civilization actually appear,and the influence of the tradition to our people is eventually faint.In this condition,our study of tradition culture maybe make people get a deeper understanding of tradition culture and have original neaning of the devalopment of the world and the advance of the society.This thesis will break through The Doctrine of the Mean .It will make people have more knowledge about tradition culture by intrduce the thought of The Doctrine of the Mean,in order to contribute a little for the spread of the tradition culture and the society advance.The thesis is divided into five parts.The first part introduces the origin of the thought of the Golden Mean and the course of completing the book.The thought of the Golden Mean originated from yao.The book of the Golden Mean is originally one chapter of the Book of rites. in the dynasty of the South Song, when Zhuxi compiled the Four books including The Great learning, the Analects of confucius , the Mencius and the Golden Mean,the status of the Book in the book of the Golden Mean was decided finally.The second part introduces the ontology of the Golden Mean and emphsizes the relation of the Mandate of the Heaven,Human Nature, Tao and Education.The Mandate of the Heaven originated from the thought of God and Tian in the Book of Songs and the...
