As an important historical and cultural legacy of China, Peking opera's origin has always been a hot issue for many historians and opera researchers. In the past, most researches are based on a history background in general; and Peking opera's origin was only studied within a certain time phase. However, this dissertation abandons the previous research doctrines and points of view, discussing the answer in a certain historical phase by combining Beijing's municipal (urban) development history. Considering the regional background of Dashilan, In a different way, the article rethink Peking opera's origin through several viewpoints of time, economics, social culture and internal differences, proving that Dashilan played a major role in forming of Peking Opera.In earlier times Dashilan's prosperity supported Peking opera's forming and development stage; nevertheless it is no longer the business centre at present. For lack of Zeitgeist and self-development, Peking opera has lost its favor of public in this area. Since some tangible cultural heritages related to Peking opera, as well as intangible ones, have been vandalized or forgotten, the article raise some thought on preserving of this significant nonmaterial cultural legacy, hoping to help the protection of culture in this region. |
