Twin Image And "copy" Motif

Via the integration of various theoretical resources, such as literature, psychology, psychoanalysis, cultural anthropology, mythology, archetype criticism, cultural research, feminism and so on, and with twins image as a starting point of the present thesis, the author conducts a multiplex research on myth, especially on the archetype of man-creating myth in world creation myth,"group image", duplication of head theme in literature, and the phenomenon of"twins"and cultural"duplication"in resent social reality, etc. By interpretation to text of"twins image"which is the typical representative style of"literature duplication", the connotation and significance of"twins image"in the aspects of literature, aestheticism and culture are illustrated comprehensively and systematically.The thesis comprises four major sections as follows: 1) duplication archetype of myth; 2) literary"duplication"motif in which a text of case analysis is included; 3) the phenomenon of cultural"duplication"; 4) the aesthetic significance of"duplication".The innovative points of the present thesis in academy field are around three aspects: 1) out of the"simulation theory"which has a profound influence on the traditional literature theories, the author proposed and studied the question of"duplication"in a new perspective; 2) through analyzing and interpreting to literature and cultural phenomena relevant to the present theme,"the twins culture"which has a close relation with"duplication"and exists widely in cultural subsidiary system has been presented in both content and styles; 3) the theoretical bases and reality of"twins image"and"duplication"have been demonstrated from diverse perspectives, by which a vitally important innovation in theoretical proposal and manipulative strategies are provided for the relative studies (elaborate and concrete case analyses are included in it). By present thesis, the author wants to make an implication to inspire a further systematic study.
