The love story of Wang Kui and Guiying has been spreading extensively in civil even since it was produced in Song dynasty. Until now, In more than 1,000 years, it has appeared constantly in each historical period in the forms of different literature: the notes and novels of Song, the operas of Yuan, the Chuan Qi of Ming and Qing, and even on the stages of Sichuan Opera, Beijing Opera, the story has been continually spreaded and been well known by people. This thesis's aim is to discuss two problems: First,is the man protagonist of the love story Wang Kui and the Champion of Song Wang Junmin the same person? Second, the end of the love story changed from tragedy to comedy and then to tragedy, and the image of the protagonist Wang Kui was varied from faithless to faith then to faithless again, there were three changes, what is the reason among them ?Synthesize all kinds of historical data, can sketch the picture of Wang Junmin in history as follows: Wang Junmin, his word is Kanghou, his hometown is County Ye Stste Lai of Song dynasty, he is a Champion of Song. Shortly after that,he was illed badly, suffering from overbearing disease , psychotomimetically.Soon, he died, only at the age of 27 years old. Junmin preserved his purity and refused to swim with the stream in all his life. He and that perfidious Wang Kui are not a person. The appearance of Wang Kui Zhuan was a criticism of the whole atmosphere "abandon friends and wife once becoming rich and noble", but not condemn a certain champion's personal qualities question. Wang Kui, is referring to a whole kind of people in fact, but not refer in particular to Wang Junmin.From the development of the story of" Wang Kui is faithless " , we can find out such a characteristic: the literatures of Song and Yuan dynasty were all faithless tragedies;in Ming dynasty, there were all Non- faithless comedy;from Qing to Minguo, they changed to faithless tragedies too. Moreover as for the whole literatures of this kind, the characteristic is suitable likewise. Then, what'sthe main reasons that lead to this characteristic'appearance? This is the problem the thesis means to dissert.
