| This thesis is a research on Chaconne by the great German composerin Baroque period , Johann Sebastian Bach. By studying the creativebackground of the music piece,the composer himself,his style,and therole on how it has been regarded in the violin solo performances at alltimes as well as worldwide,the author has thoroughly dissected the contentof Chaconne,including its characterization,forms,mode,harmony,polyphony,tempo and etc .The author has also delicately examined such varied versionsof music as Ivan Galamian's using Bach's original manuscript.Recordingsby Henryk Szeryng and three other violinists are also compared and studiedin order to express the author's own points of view in terms of performanceand expression . |
