At the time of 1990's, the Chinese Consumer Age occurred in some developed cities. People's material lives have achieved huge satisfaction and stimulated the shopping desire of consumers. The strong purchasing power of consumer not only accelerated the development of social productive force, but also led to a wide and deep disorder of the culture filed. It seemed that there was an invisible hand controlling the appearance and development of all things in the market of intense social transform time. Then the art creation also couldn't avoid going forward along the orbit of business benefit.This society is full of attraction, which makes people lose their direction easily, including the artists who are provided with combat capacity and sharp discernment. This article has chosen the Chinese oil painting as the target to analyze and research the difficult position of the Chinese modern art, so that it can attract wide attention.In order to explain the variation of the Chinese oil painting in the Consumer Age, the article has discussed from three aspects: the change of oil painting's ability;the change of oil painting's style, language, theme, technology;and the change of artists. The aid is to present a three-dimensional state of Chinese modern oil painting. In every section, the text has emphasized the effect of the Consumer Age and the fact that the oil painting has become goods. There also has some description of previous (the year before 1990's) oil painting.
