To any philosopher, the relationship between man and nature has been an unavoidable question. Ancient Chinese philosophers came into being with the discussions of this question and specialized it as the relationship between God and man. on the basis of this relationship, the ancient thinkers began to explain the whole structure of the word. They announced that God and man were in the same world. Futhermore, God and man interacted with each other. In some case, God could predict something that man did, man would also God, they reached the interaction between them finally.Under the historical conditions, influenced by this theory, when man sought the reasonable explantion to the real world, they fixed their attention on God. Best as God is, the authority of it was without doubt great. In this way, emperor had to depend on God to realize his authority. Indeed, emperor's authority was rooted in God. Relying on God, the emperors' authority spread without control. However, on the other hand, it was restricted greatly by God. After making great efforts, philosophers had an idea of "thinking God", who had surpring ability. Affected by the theory "the interaction between God and man", people owned the unusural phenomenon in nature to God. They believed it's because God criticized the disorder in the world, especially when emperor ruled man unwisely. In this case, emperor had to make a self-criticism on his work and promulgate "criticizing oneself. Thoughts and authority had a bloody battle abouf'criticizing oneself. Emperor tried his best to smash the trammelsof God and get rid of the limit. However, "the interaction between God and man"and "criticizing oneself'were rooted in people's mind, which allowed emperor never to go beyond. Thus emperor got a balance from a unity of opposites. The balance guaranteed the steady development of feudal society. Aimed at the special historical phenomenon—"criticizing oneself, in this thesis, possessing the historical attitudes, employs the method of dialectical analysis, was written to promulgate the reality during Tang Dynasty. Center on "criticizingoneself, man were making their best to reach the combination between God and man and live in a harmonious society. So criticizing oneself played an restriction role in keeping feudal society steadily.
