| As an original term of the music, "Absurdity" is the most fashionable in the western society in the 20th century, especially after the second World War, which seems to have become a collective-unconsciousness of the Westerners. Studied how absurdity has become an aesthetic term from the changing of logic and history, it can be deepened in the theory and meanings. Classical art emphasizes harmony, while disharmony factors in the arts can not exist, when the "absurdity" is only a form of presentation but it can not embody any position itself, nor exist as an independent conception or conformation. Since the 19th century, with the traditional sense and religious beliefs collapsed, people have more profound knowledge to alienation. While with the traditional sense can not satisfy the people's spiritual needs, all the irregular daily lives with negative meanings are labeled with "absurdity", which make people began to quest for rationality in which people and the world to exist. When there is a gap between reality and ideal, a sense of absurdity is born and then all art schools have to explain the absurdity from different angles. The Western philosophy and literature, including aesthetics, go towards the negative direction, and become a trend. Following the lack of capacity to rebuild, people had to endure the unacceptable reality, thus there turns up a new Western aesthetic category — absurdity. This absurd aesthetic category has completely become matured after absurd drama, when the absurdity has finally become a relatively stable aesthetic approach and aesthetic psychological structure, both dealing with individual incidents and demonstrating interpersonal non-communication or the relationship disorders between people and the world, in which from the structure to content it embodies chaos with the sense of loneliness, despair, feelings of alienation and death. Of course, we identify absurdity as an aesthetic field in the end to ultimate it, to find a harmonious tomorrow, and to create an inhabiting environment with the beauty of poetry. |
