Du Fu Belongs To The Tang

There have been arguments on which period of Tang Dynasty that Du Fu's poetry should belong to since Tang Dynasty. Most scholars took Du Fu and Li Bai as two greatest poets and think their poetry is so brilliant that they should undoubtedly belong to the most brilliant time of Tang Dynasty-High Tang. In now days, although a lot of scholars argued that Du Fu's poetry should belong to Mid-Tang, but none articles has been written to prove this idea. The purpose of the article is to discuss that Du Fu's poetry should belong to Mid-Tang.If we compare Du's poetry with poetry written by poets of High-Tang, we can see that there are big differences. First, 90% of Du's poetry were written after An Lushan-shi Siming Rebellion during Mid-Tang ear, yet most poetry of High-Tang are written after the Rebellion. Second, the style of Du's poetry was much more realistic as opposed to others poets in High-Tang. Third, their styles of poetry are different.Poets in Mid-Tang period learned a lot from Du, and their poetry are similar with Du's. first, Du's attitude towards people's miserable life was same to poets' in Mid-Tang. Second, the poetry style of the two main poetry sects are same to Du Fu's poetry style.
