From the point of communication study, the culture of the documentary film is restricted by the two major factors in spreading: the coupling degree of the characteristic of media and documentary film, the control of culture types in the period of documentary film. According to different ways and modes of communication, documentary film culture includes two kind of aspects: amusement and art creating. To the documentary film for the amusement, the commercial factor is its driving, masses media become the dependency of commerce, and the documentary film appears as the form of goods. Another kind is represented by documentary film broadcast in the public channel of foreign countries, these documentary films are made as the fine works, who mostly focus on such as Anthropology, Culture, refined culture ranges....As to other movies & TVs program, the audience of documentary film should be sparse, similar to elite's culture, because the type mode of it' s behavior mainly demands subjective individual, producing under harmonious state type mode cause their works to be accepted by the individual of same cognition, not the overwhelming majority of the society. But delicate relations between some and being all. Documentary film culture needs mass media to travel, to be more knew, but if the documentary film is too be popular, In the direction of market and economy, people who make documentary film,their already existing creation passion and ideal will disappearing, the whole spirit of the documentary film will changing in quality and splitting up . The culture of the documentary film needs a perfect balance between mass culture and sub— culture. We must make it keep power and get excited what will be losing because of popular aggravation. We must make it keep the essential spirit because of being duplicated and patterned in market-based operation.
