When preparing to construct and after constructing Ming Dynasty, the first Emperor of Ming Dynasty Zhu Yuanzhang always paid attention to the education, and he thought the education was as important as the economy. So in Ming Dynasty, education grew very fast and achieved the highest level in the ancient education development history of China.The school education had a unique position in the beginning of Ming Dynasty. During the early phase of constructing Ming Dynasty, it needed a lot of people to fill up every rank of administrative organs. At that time, there were three ways to select officials: one is through recommendation; another one is through examination; the last one is through school. Because recommendation had different standards and could not train new kind of qualified personnel, and people through examination could not get enough social experience, school became the main place to train the qualified personnel.The main school system of Ming Dynasty had two parts: one was a central school in the capital of Ming Dynasty; another one was local schools in the place of every local government.In this article, the emphasis is on the center school, such as the school architecture, the total quantity of students and related expenditure. The part of related expenditure principally includes the welfare of all students and the salary level of instructors, which was assumed by the government of Ming Dynasty. Local schools had been similar to the center school.Finally this article is trying to investigate the state of the education gains. The education gains include the individual gains and the social gains. Students had more opportunities to be an official, and more and more people were willing to attending school, officials were more honest than before, and the society was stable at the beginning of Ming Dynasty.
