| This academic thesis makes an inquiry into the characteristics of broadcast news from style perspective. It attempts to analyze the specific characteristics of the broadcast news in language application, which exists the broadcast, a special medium. This paper attempts to not only provide some references to language application of broadcast news, but also offer some news research perspectives for the style research.This thesis is divided into three parts. The first part centers on analyzing the types of context of the broadcast news from the types of context and constituting essential factors, and puts broadcast news to the category of the standardized speech style. The second part focuses on analyzing the language characteristics of the broadcast news, which embodies the oralization and standardization of words application, the oralization and standardization of sentences, the popularization and imagery of rhetoric techniques and the beauty of rhythm and perception in the pronunciation arrangement. The third part concentrates on the analyzing the function of the style of the broadcast news, including messages transmission function, publicity direction function, organization and communication function, social education function, and culture and entertainment function.In the process of the discussion, this thesis deliberately makes comparisons and contrasts to show the outstand characteristics of broadcast news. The oralization of broadcast news can be seen comparing with the newspaper news; the standardization of broadcast news can be seen comparing to speech style. By contrast, this thesis summarizes the style characteristics of broadcast news. |
