Er Ya is the first linguistics work of our country.Its appearance indicates the developmentof Chinese literary language has already reached quite ripe stage.It is generally acknowledgedthat today copy of Er Ya is out of many people's hands and the latest time of its appearancemust be earlier than Western Han Dynasty.Er Ya has a history of more than 2200 years so far.As the foundation of Chinese ancient linguistics,Er Ya has not only received the attention ofacademic world,but also become compulsory work of cultural continuity of many dynasties.As an ancient book during the pre-Qin period,Er Ya has an extremely high position and veryimportant value in the history of linguistics.Shi Gu is the first part of Er Ya, which gathers alarge number of archaism during the pre-Qin period.Shi Gu's interpretation has certainrepresentativeness and research value,which is the material of Chinese vocabulary study of thepre-Qin period .The scholar has already made brilliant achievement on the study of Er Ya in manyyears.But with the constant development of linguistics theory,the study of Er Ya is stillawaiting the further development.The study of Er Ya's interpretation combining modernlinguistics theory has come up in recent years.But the study has not formed systematictheoretical research yet, which mainly focused on the elucidating of specific problem till now.So this thesis which makes systematic study on Er Ya combining modern linguistics is verynecessary and meaningful.I hope that this thesis can remedy the deficiency of the study of ShiGu's interpretation and offer the basic material of Chinese vocabulary of the pre-Qin period toa certain extent at the same time.This thesis includes six parts.The first part is the introduction.We give a briefintroduction of Er Ya,Shi Gu and its study.Moreover,we bring up the research and methodadopted in this thesis,expound the research content and the meaning of this thesis.The second part is the basic situation of Shi Gu's interpretation.First,we summarize theform of Shi Gu's interpretation.Then we count relevant situation of interpretedword,interpreting word and interpreting row from different angle.On the whole,this part shows...
