At first glance of the works of Paul Cezanne, we are deeply motivated by the structure and the emotion displayed in his works. In fact, he does his utmost to explore the internal secrets of nature from different perspectives and express the glimmering sparks of the collision between the soul and the nature. The paintings of Piet Mondrian begin from the visual facts and end on the abstract symbols of the forms. Every transformation of his painting styles is closely associated with the transformations of his world outlooks and arts outlooks. The images of the forests and the trees of the nature which are familiar with everybody frequently appear in the works of Cezanne and Mondrian. This article starts with this kind of phenomenon from the perspective of the two artists'attitudes towards the nature, and makes use of the relevant pictures of the works and documents and materials closely and accordingly. This article consists of three sections to expand its demonstrations with every level elevated for further exploration from the following four perspectives: sculpture, color, skill and the inheriting relations of the two artists. This article views the emerging orbit of "forest"as a "circle"to enclose the Cezanne's "heart"and regards the transforming process of "trees"as a "thread"to closely follow the ideas of Mondrian. As follows: The first section is dedicated to discussing the viewpoint that "forest"and "trees"fully display Cezanne and Mondrian's exploration and seeking for the picture cosmos. 1, Cezanne'psychological harmony and the picture cosmos. The early experience of Cezanne exerts a huge influence on the formation of his harmonious psychology and aesthetic standards. His early works frequently reveal his imaginary world to express his seeking for the primitive chaos, this kind of painting style is maintained most clearly in the latter paintings of landscape. 2, Mondrian's transformation on the painting ideas and his seeking for the picture order. Mondrian's career of painting begins the traditional realism and goes through the transforming processes from neo-impressionism and cubism, then he has new painting styles of himself. During the transforming processes of these painting styles, Mondrian suffered emotional upsets and loneliness and drifted from one place to place in his ordinary life. But he yielded to nothing and created an unique kind of modern artistic form with the spirit---"being enterprising forever"all his life. The second section is dedicated to discussing the viewpoint that "forest"and "trees"fully display Cezanne and Mondrian's characteristics of the artistic creations and the relations between them.1, sculpture. 1) "forest in the mind"transcends the objective matters and displays the subjective emotions. Cezanne's painting forms and structures run out of the objective images. More importantly, he refines the forms of the objective matters with the help of his own feelings, so those simple texture take on the stimulating significance of the sculpture. 2), "trees of the ideas"gradually and equally demonstrate the objective images trying to get rid of the subjective ideas of the works. Mondrian has always been attempting to seek for the overall impression of the nature through the instant feelings. He has a prejudice in favor of the succinct forms and tries to wipe off the intentional illustrations. We can put it in another way---the objectivity of the individual emotional expression. 2,color. 1) Cezanne makes up "the eternal works of arts"with "the free colors". He puts scraps of free colors together and overlays them like an architect to build the volume of the images.2, Mondrian only highlights the "purity"of the colors. Eventually he diminishes the colors to red, yellow and blue & white, black and gray. Therefore the trees in the nature are likely to depart from Mondrian and his drawing...
