Graphic is an important instrument for human communication and information spreading. People are in urgent need of a kind of exchange media, which could overcome the language obstacle under the background being characteristic of economic globalization embodied in more international integration, exchange and collaboration. Graphic is universally considered as "Esperanto" due to its unique advantages. Modern society has come into the once graphic culture from the era of literal culture since graphic took the dominant place in information spreading. Modern graphic design plays an important part in the economic life, accomplishing its artistic and commercial values in the course of delivering information. Graphic idea has direct influence on the effect of information spreading, and idea is the core and soul of design. Idea namely the creative idea, creative capability and creative concept, and graphic idea is not only cornering the expressive ways of some kind of subject matter but more emphasizing the erection of creative attitude and conception in graphic design. Idea needs a multivariate, dynamic, flexible and open mode of thinking, which does not mean to be go-as-you-please or ruleless, but having its corresponding theories and methods instead. The paper studies on the graphic development and variations, further showing the implement methods of graphic idea through analyzing art of history, psychology, aesthetics and some classical examples of design, mainly focusing on the thoughts and ways of graphic idea (including the motion and sense of idea thought, factors affecting idea, ways and principles of creative idea, different mentality and so forth), and discussing the basic graphic elements and the organization for graphic idea as well.
