Agricultural Science And Technology Of The Han And Jin Dynasties Nanyang Basin Analysis

Nanyang basin was one of the agro economic zones of the Hanshui drainage area in history, of which the advantage geographical environment, excellent politic environment, developed industry and commerce and rich and long-lasting culture in East and West Han dynasty laid the solid fundament for the development of the agricultural science and technique. However, the agricultural economy was in dead state since the Jin Dynasty. This paper probed into the development level of the agricultural economy of the Nanyang basin in Han-Jin period from the representation of the agricultural science and technique combined the archaeological data and historical materials. This paper is divided into three parts.Part 1: Introduce the organization transformation and the geographical environment of the basin of Nanyang in Han-Jin period .Part 2: The core content of the paper. It analyzed the agricultural development level of Nanyang basin in Han-Jin period from the aspects of production tools, farmland water conservancy, population and farmland, farming technique, main crops and grain processing etc..Part 3: Conclude the characteristics of the agricultural science and technique development of the Nanyang basin in Han-Jin period, having the characteristics of foxtail millet cropping agriculture of central plains and rice cropping agriculture of the south.
