Pan Lei Wen's Literary Achievements

Lei are an old literary style. From ancient time to now, prosperity and decline are also unavoidable. Lei comes to the first climax during weijin and NanBei dynasties, especially in XiJing Dynasty. Panyue injected the fresh blood into Lei's development, promotes Lei's creation and entering its great prosperity one. Panyue's Lei excess the former persons'ones and become the example of the latter. So we think Panyue is the great one. But contemporary research of Panyue's Lei is very weak, one hand reputation of Lei is so little, in respect of the writer's popularity, the quantity of the works and the quality of the works that it cannot compete with other styles such as poem. On the other hand some are absorbed in Panyue's personal moral character and the lyrical one in Panyue's research. But these research have nothing to do with Lei. Now it is not exist that to put two aspects together yet. The paper utilizes the basic way of text study and put an eye on literary form , to start from documents, combined the external literature environment of the Panyue's period—literature ideological trend and the character of the XiJing Dynasty, and the internal environment of Panyue creation—Lei's gentle literary form and Panyue creation environment—he is good at Lei. From the macroscopic and microscopic angles, we try to understand the Lei articles of Panyue. Panyue's Lei has the rich era characteristic, styles change and development of styles and reflects Panyue's creation characteristic. This paper start to research from Panyue's literal theory and analyses literature achievements of Panyue from three aspects, the first, both content and form are on the same level in Panyue's articles. Second, Panyue's Lei compose of the graceful words. Third, Panyue's Lei not only inherit the accomplishment of the former but also develop Lei. By researching Panyue's Lei, we try to master the change of the former tang Dynasty, such as the change of the literal form, the transition of style function and the transition of content center, etc. Through Panyue's Lei, we want to show Lei's research line and discuss the Panyue's status in the research of the Lei and literature history.
