The novel of reform subject is obvious to all for its plentiful creations and great achievement in the contemporary literature world , that's from the end of 70's in last century to now .The whole article is discussed the kind of creations from three aspect the first chapter mainly explains the history of the reform novel's themes and the cause of its change from the perspective of thematic development, so as to study the success and failure about this kind of novel. The second chapter points out the characteristic and failure in figural portrayal through the analysis on the traits of the reformers that have the most artistic characters. The third chapter makes a summary towards the meaning of reform novel in the whole comtemporary literature , at the same time , generalizes the failures in the kind of creations , in order to offer some lessons for the future creation of reform novel.
