The Development Of Commodity Economy And Fujian In Song Dynasty Social Structure Changes

From the perspective of socio-economic history studies, the thesis explores thedevelopment of commodity economy and the changes of social structure in Fujian inSong Dynasty, and analyses the influences on social structure made by thedevelopment of commodity economy. It is hoped to deepen the regionalsocio-economic history studies, and contribute to the improvement of Fujianregional history research. There are three parts in the paper.In the first part, it points out the major reasons of the development ofcommodity economy in Fujian in Song Dynasty from the aspects of geographicalposition, natural resources and climate, ect. It believes that it is the natural and socialelements that together cause the development of commodity economy in Fujian inSong Dynasty. And it studies the concrete states of the development of commodityeconomy in the region.The second part analyses the social structure in the region. It studies themanagement system and organizational modes of the farmers and various industrialand commercial groups which include tea producers, salt producers, iron producers,sugar producers, lichee producers, ect. And it discusses the management policy of theproduction and sale from Song government.In the conclusion part, it summarizes the primary views of the paper. It points outthe diversities of the development of commodity economy and economic structurecause the diversities of social structure, which lead to the different economic lifestyles of the groups and the state management mode.
