Network Language Study

Internet brings the information transmission revolution. Network language is just the new composition of the language world that appears with the birth of the Internet. In this article, we discuss the new variety emerged from nature language collective with the social development.On the basis of discussing the character, implication and development of network language, we summarize the feature about the type of net writing, and the total characteristic of network language, including more foreign language words, more terminology, using symbol and words alternately, sentence scattered and audio-visualize.In this article we put stress on discussing the way of the new net terms produced, the feature of net word: new, flexible and complicated, and eight quarters of which net word system is formed: terminology, foreign language terms, translated words , abbreviation, digital symbol, words from Hongkong. Macao and Taiwan, homophonic, new words producing by the law of Chinese word-marking. We study the net words in a systematic way.At last we summarize the merits and demerits of the network language from the language developing angle, and we point out we should treat network language with the positive attitude.
