Fu Lei Literary Concept Study

Fulei had acquired gloriously achievement in the domain of art appreciation and literature theory except as a famous translator. However, his talent of this aspect had long been ignored and few researches had been taken on it. Since the existing researches were only simple introductions far from the real situation of his theory, the aim of this paper is to change such unsatisfied condition.On the basis of related materials, the personality of Fulei and the relation with Confucianism and western spirit are been analyzed firstly. The personality of pursuing the morality and the truth which has being cherished and lacked by Chinese led the death to him eventually. Secondly, what emphasized are his view of literature, involving the relation of society background and the production of it, the influences both from eastern and western classicality, the status of humain in it, his pursuit of the ideality of the art and sincerity, the important role in today's literature as well as the defaults of it.In sum, this paper intends to conclude the literature theory of Fulei and explain the relationship between behavior of ordinary lives and ideality of art from describing his personality and literature. More attentions and researches are expected to focus about it.
