The dissertation is mainly focused on the study of topic-advance in trans-turn speech. From the information structure in words, it gives the definition of topic and adnex. The dissertation emphasizes the semantic attribute of the concept of topic, which differs from most studies at present which pay more attention to the alcaic function of topic. Meanwhile, the dissertation strives hard to escape from the constraint of single sentence, and review the topic on the level of sections, chapters and dialogues.Firstly, it discusses the topic-advance patterns in single sentences, which becomes the basis of dissertate in next paragraphs on representation of topic in sections, chapters and dialogues. It differentiates topic-advance and topic-shift, anddivides the topic-advance into two types--topic-extension and topic-continue.Every type has is inner sub-types in representative form, semantic relation and so on. Since review on lingual fact on level of sentence could find some general forms in topic-advance, it is not enough to explain all the topic representation on the level of sections, chapters and dialogues, which is just the stress of the dissertation.Aim at the shortcoming of studies on topic in sections, chapters and dialogues in existence; it puts forward the own understanding. Up till now, studies of topic in paragraphs have usually focused on the structure and how topic controls the sections and chapters, which limits to the study of inner form, function of shape-factors. Breaks the presence thoughts, the dissertation puts the single sentence in the huge lingual system and puts eyes on the relationship between paragraphs, which gives a wholly new understanding in topic-advance at the higher level of trans-turn speech. That is the innovation in methodology in this dissertation.It considers, the sections and chapters are dialogues essentially. According to the theories of Ostin and Sual, we research dialogue activities in the fields of turns' exchange and partnership of speech-pairs. Normal development of dialogue relies on consanguineous conjugation of two factors: concatenation and relativity of talkingactivities. Differs from the advance in single sentence and paragraph, the topic-advance in dialogue is made by multi- participants. And the last part of this dissertation tends to analyse the topic-advance in trans-turn speech materiality.Herein lies the complexity of the dialogue forms in daily life, the dissertation selects the simplest activities as the research object, sometimes has to instantiate.Topic-advance in trans-turn speech is essentially ex-act relationship among the participants. Since the general theories haven't set foot in research of the activities from multi-participants, the explore of the dissertation is just an attempt. But it also has the philosophic field of vision rather than other theories.
