Function Words Of Guodian Bamboo Document

The present dissertation is based on the Guodian Chu tomb bamboo documents, and research some typical and disputed function words.The thesis mainly use Wangguowei's "bi-evidence theory",and testify the document handed down from ancient times by the excavated materials,so research the practical condition and usage of some function words in the Warring states.Meanwhile,we compare these words with the similar words of inscription on bones or tortoise shells and inscription on ancient bronzes or other excavated materials in order to offer an explanation of the development of these function words.The dissertation includes four sections.The chapter 1 consider the similarities and difference of the negative adv. "bu"(不) and "fu" ( 弗 ) .Their difference lies in tone's light and stress.The chapter 2 discuss the usage of the conjunction "si"(斯), "ci"(此), "an"(安), "ze"(则),"yu"(与), "er"(而), "yi"(以).We respectively expound the usage of some similiar conjunctions according to their meaning and function and analyse the development of their meaning and function.Both "si" (斯) and "ci" (此) are used as the conjunction in the Guodian bamboo document.They have some similarities,also have much difference. "An"(安) is also a conjunction which may be replaced by the conjunction "ze" (则) under the specific circumstance. "Yu"(与) is used as juxtaposed conjunction in the Guodian bamboo document. "Ji"(及) is mainly used as preposition,which express the time in which action or behavior occurs. There are more difference than similarity between "Er"(而) and "yi"(以).They may replace each other under the specific condition.The chapter 3 discuss the usage of the preposition "yu"(於) and "hu"(乎). The amount of "yu" (於) is more than "hu" (乎)'s in the Guodian bamboo document.Moreover when introduce the compared object, Guodian bamboo document use the preposition "hu" (乎),but not use the preposition "yu"(於).The preposition "hu"(乎) is not same as the preposition "yu"(於) which has a special usage and means "duiyu"(对于), which is same as the usage of "hu" (乎) in the document handed down from ancient times.The chapter 4 consider the usage of "yuqici 'er'"(语气 词"尔") which is similiar to the ""yuqici 'ye...
