Juvenile delinquency has become an important social issue in 21 century and also serves as one of the most concerned theme in criminal psychology. Therefore, this research took samples from the students in 5 work-study schools (generally termed delinquent teenagers) and chose the students in grade one to grade three from an ordinary junior high school to form a contrast group. The correlation study between level of psychological health, personality characteristics, parent upbringing matter and types of delinquency was conducted by using MMPI, MHS and EMBU as research tools in combination with such research methods as clinic interference and individual case tracing. The results of the research show,1. Psychological health condition of most delinquent teenagers is about average or below (in grade one and grade two if classified from grade one to grade five)2. Pd value in MMPI of delinquent teenagers is 72.04, i.e. apparent morbidity; Values ofMa, Pa, Pt and F are above average. When compared with the contrast group, there is notable variance.3. The level of psychological health of delinquent teenagers has a bearing on the types of delinquency, and each type shows a unique psychological mechanism.4. Parent upbringing manners of those delinquent teenagers are either rejective and negative,or overindulgent or passive.5. Clinical interference shows that the delinquent behavior of those delinquent teenagers can be more rapidly corrected if their parents change their upbringing manners and isolate them from intercourse with vicious gangs.
