Chanting Poetry Of Zhang Nationality

This paper focuses on a famous poet in Mid-Tang period,Zhangji's Gexing,a flexible form of classical poem that can be set to music and song.Based on the fruit of forefathers' study,the main parts of this paper give a definition to Gexing from the aspect of forms and tones,thus analyze the content and artistic characteristics of Zhangji's Gexing.It holds that Zhangji's Gexing reveals comparatively honestly the the social reality of Mid-Tang period.It contains four aspects.First,it shows the war-ridden situations of that time;Second,it reveals the luxurious life of the ruling class and the bitter disasters of ordinary people brought by heavy duties; Third.it expresses Zhangji's patriotism;Fourth,it describes vividly the customs and habits of his time.Zhangji's Gexing is artistically of his own style.To say specically.it has the characteristics of "Flowing freely",skilful use of bixing,rich practice of contrast and the special technique of concluding in the end.In the whole history of Gexing in Tang Dynasty,Zhangji's contribution can be dexided into two parts.Firstly,his works are close to life,and his orientation and content are an adjustment to Dali style,and a return to the spirit of DuFu;Secondly,his works inherit DuFu's realism and enlighten Baijuyi,thus become influential.In the remaining part of this paperdiscusses the reason that people call Zhangji's Poet of Yuefu,still more,it studies Zhangji's works besides Gexingjn the hope to have a better understanding of him.
