The age-old art of Chinese national vocal music is an important part of Chinese traditional culture. With its rich cultural background and unique singing style, it is well appreciated by numerous singers and audiences, and it expresses their thoughts, feelings and hopes. However, during the course of the development of its singing style, there are some arguable problems, such as duplication of styles and misleading of singing skills. In order to resolve these problems, the author discusses the application of Chang Xiangyu School's mixed-voice singing skill, which is a combination of unfalssetto and falsetto. That will be of historical and practical significance for the inheritance of national cultural legacy and the healthy development of national vocal music.This thesis studies deeply into the singing styles and skills of Chinese national vocal music, and expounds how to apply Chang Xiangyu School's mixed-voice singing skill to resolve those problems.
