Guangxu Study On Hubei Resources Exploration Activities

In the Guang xu period, a series of resource survey activities were staged in the areas of Hubei province, and gained abundant result and presented science basis for exploiting resources,which made use of west science and technology, which paved the way for modern exploiting resources, and accelerated progression of the modern industry and minc,x agriculture water conservancy moreover,which influenced similar activities of some provinces. Besides, it advanced evolution from traditional society to modern society of Hubei.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part introduces epoch background. Which mainly are symbolized in three fields: 1. The foreign economic invasion power became mightier day by day;2. Country had request of developing economics; 3. Economic policies of government were gradually changed because of the three elements,which facilitated the activity's development.The second one is on the question of mineral prospection.the paper narrates the institution established and process and achievement; which analyses activity's characteristic,\vhich discusses the obverse and reverse effect to modern industry and mine of Hubei, and extracts wealth of history experience.The third one is on the question of agriculture investigation, the paper discusses the institution established the authorities and west agronomy teachers engaged organized several investigations, achievement,which inquires into its positive role to modern agriculture of Hubei.In the fourth part, the paper analyses the Hubei's hydraulic feature of the late Qing Dynasty and survey course and achievement,which involves with prevent flood by water control and navigation, which probes into positive role to modern water conservancy of Hubei.After summarizing the movement's history meanings, the paper discussesdisbalance characteristic and restricted factors, and draws a conclusion that precondition of exploiting resources is resource survey.This is what the last part dealed with.Innovations in this thesis: 1.
