Although there are some essays on it, they are not systematic or integrated . The existing discussions , far from abundant , is also centralized in some aspect of the work . In the novel, plenty of humorous comedy description has showed itself. Not only is it an organic part of the whole work , but also adds to its infinite artistic charm . Taking the comedy nature in the tragedy work as basic subject , this dissertation comprehensively sammarizes its comedy art and comedy function as well as its comedy spirit that is distinct from the traditional comedy , through the general survey of the amount of comedy phenomena and the case study of the work . The conclusion is that , as the greatest classic in the Chinese Literature , A Dream in Red Mansions has made considerable achievement of tragedy art, as well as of comedy art.
