| The romantics written by SuManshu and YuDafu inherit and transcend the classical sentimental novel. They present very intensive sence of history and reality because the strong self emotion and experience is plunged into the romantics. The thesis comment on the romantics by comparision of their feeling stories and lyric styles.Part one: The value orienration and the love story. Basing on marriage, the love story of SuManshu's romantic is social and ethic; and basing on lust, the one of YuDafu's romantic is individual and psychological. The confliction between love and feudal ethical code in classical romantics turn into the one between lust and soul in YuDafu's novel.Part two: The wretched living and the love story. In order to remove the sence of solitary, the two men each form a love story in their romantics, in which SuManshu adopt "one man choose two women" plot standard, but YuDafu "One desire the love of women" . "Inferiority Complex" based on their wretched living make they think "Love" as "mother love" or "sympathy" .Part three: Individualism and love story. The individual consciousness in the two men's love story inherit the individualism of the later Ming dinasty. SuManshu emphasize "Soul" of Men which is unconventional, and YuDafu underline "sexual passion" of men which is realitical and extreme.Part four: The lyrica style of narrative autobiography. SuManshu is coscious to learn the Chinese classical lyrica-style, and conbine his experience which is exaggerated with the romantic; According to the sentimental logic, YuDafu choose the typical details to show the character's psychology.Part five: The tragedy mood. The two men's romatics present strongdecadent sentiments which sterm from their dispair to the living and their not bearing to part the traditional culture.
