Five Dialects Yang Phonological Evolution

At present, research of Jin Dialects is one of the hot issues in the field of dialectology. We have gotten lots of achievements, but because of some kinds of reasons Wutai sub-dialect as the middle northern Jin Dialects is still a weak link in Jin Dialect researching.In the thesis, firstly from the way of middle rhyme and group, using method of charts and diagrams, the author fully describes the characters of phonetic value of middle nine groups of �'�,山,宕,江,深,臻,曾,梗 and 通 in two stratigraphies of Literary-reading and Colloquial reading; and analyses phonetic value's characteristics of main vowel of every rhyme and every group and evolution rules of rhyme-end. The author compares Wutai sub-dialect with its surrounding's dialects and other dialect regions and illustrates specificity and generality of Wutai sub-dialects male rhyme combinational rules. Moreover, The author makes great efforts in search for different historical stratigraphy of colloquial layer reduplication of Wutai sub-dialect male rhyme from historical documents. In the end, according to competitive relation of literary reading and colloquial reading, connecting with many social elements affecting language development, The author foresees evolution tendency of Wutai sub-dialects male rhyme. In the rhyme type's combinational respects, literary stratigraphy's combinational characteristics of all kinds of patois spots of Wutai sub-dialect is combination of 宕 and 江, combination of �'� and 山, combination of 深,臻,曾,梗 and 通, in the colloquial stratigraphy's respects: "齐齿呼 " combination of 曾,梗,臻 and 深 other "呼" of 梗 group remains independence, but colloquial reading of 曾 and 通 consist of their inner "呼"s change, besides, merge into other female rhymes and groups. Colloquial reading of group of 宕 and 江 mainly merge into 果 group. Inner divergence of colloquial reading of groups of �'� and 山 is a major one. Regarding Wutai as a representative, we independently look on colloquial reading of �'� and 山 as a set of rhyme type: they merge into female rhyme in Dingxiang, Xinzhou and Shenmu; they merge into male rhyme hi other patois spots. Evolution speed of male rhyme rhyme-end from fast to slow is: literary stratigraphy, �'�山>宕江>臻深曾梗通; colloquialstratigraphy, 宕江>梗>�'�山>曾通>臻深. Colloquial stratigraphy is language phenomenon's reduplication of different historical stratigraphy of ancient, middle and modem levels. Combination of male rhyme's type is based on main vowel and nasal rhyme-final, and combinational time of every rhyme and every group is not the same. According to competition law of literary and colloquial, and general literary defeating colloquial, recent development of social economy, influence of Mandarin etc, because of these elements' limitation, colloquial stratigraphy of Wutai sub-dialect's male rhyme will give way to literary stratigraphy, and literary stratigraphy will exist on evolution rule of itself inner phonetic structure.
