Mr. Zhang chengzhi has been a very important but considered to be a disputed writer ever since the new period. Meanwhile, he is a writer who has suffered from the deepest pain and loneliness in Chinese contemporary literary world. To such a contemporary intellectual with complicated culture background and extraordinary culture consciousness, we should explain his true spirit characteristic and personality psychology from the deep layer of the culture. This thesis just combines the text, analyzing Mr. Zhang' s unique personality and his history fate from the theoretic view that "individual growth is restricted by his culture" .According to this thesis, the cause of Mr. Zhang having many-sides personalities and having been in the difficult self-contradict clash situation is that: first it is the result of Han and Hui culture affecting each other and the innate contradiction of the two culturesSencond it is that the individuals which load the in around culture system are not in the proper position and can not be involved together. So in the end it leads to the tragedy of "homelessness" . To this, the thesis analyses indetails the reason from the following two parts:In the first part, the author analyses from the literature creation of Mr. Zhang, reseaching the" holy" and "popularity" of Han and Hui' s culture showing Mr. Zhang the desendant of Islam his sharp personality which is above the Gold cannot be involved in the Han and Confucianism culture which pay more attention to the function of reality. Therefore, Mr. Zhang is definitely to choose the way "seeking for the saint-standing alone-rebelling" .In the second part, the author begins with the post-cultural critical prose of Mr. Zhang, placing Mr. Zhang into the literature language situation of the alternate period between the end of this century and the 1990s and discussing that Han and Confucianism' s cioilization is a culture model which shows its value points of "to worry" and "to give" .The author point out that Mr. Zhang is the "son" of Han and Hui culture and the tradition of the " morality" and "teacher" of Chinese humanity intellectuals have the innate effect on the personality psychology of Mr.Zhang, so that we can confirm his value position as an intellectual and his "mixed-rebirth" culture personality as a Confuciam' s Moslem. In a word, in order to truly understand the unique psychology quality, spirit model and personality style of Mr. Zhang a Chinese contemporary writer with especial culture background, this thesis explains and analyses from all-directions and many level of structures.
