| The study on sounds of Fujian Province in the Song Dynasty is one of important parts of the study on sounds in the Song Dynasty. The phonetic notations made by those who came from Fujian Province in the Song Dynasty are the first-hand phonetic documents for our study. Some phonetic phenomena of Chinese used commonly in Fujian Province in the Song Dynasty, the Common Chinese and the Min Dialect included, can be found out. The study can provide some new valuable phonetic documents for the studies on the phonetic history of the Common Chinese and Min Dialect. The phonetic notations include three authors' notations: Zheng Ang's (郑昂) which were collected in the Feng Meng Ji Zhu Du Gong Bu Shi (《分门集注æœå·¥éƒ¨è¯—》) , Cat Cheng's (蔡沈) Shu Jing JiZhuan (《书ç»é›†ä¼ 》) and Xiong Gangda (能刚大) Xing Li Qun Shu Ju Jie(《性ç†ç¾¤ä¹¦å¥è§£ã€‹).Part one introduces the method of study, the conditions of the three authors and the phonetic notations, ect.Part two analyzes the phonetic phenomena of the Common Chinese reflected in the phonetic notations. (1)The initials: sonores changed into sourdes; the labial consonants divided; the initials of group Zhi (知组), Zhang (ç« ç»„) and Zhuang (庄组) assimilated, and so did initial Chuan (船æ¯) and Shan (禅æ¯), initial Yun (云æ¯) and Yi (以æ¯); etc. (2)The finals: the third and fourth division categories merged; all the Chong Yun (é‡éŸµ) amalgamated; Xi Yin (细音) of Xie She (蟹摄) and Zhi She (æ¢æ‘„) comfused; terminal sounds with -p,-t or -k began to be faint till disappeared; Shang Sheng (上声) of sonores changed intoQu Sheng(去声);etc. Part three analyzes the Phonetie Phenomena of Min Dialectreneeted in the phonetie notations:â‘ The initials:sonores changedinto sourdes whether aspirated or not don't agree with the law of thePhonetie Phenomena of the Common Chinese:there are some mixedphenomena between the initials of group Zhi(知组)and Duan(端组),group Jing(精组)and Zhuang-Zhang(åº„ç« ç»„),group Jian(è§ç»„)andxiao(晓组),initial Xia(匣æ¯)and Yun(云æ¯),initial xia(匣æ¯)andFeng(奉æ¯),initial Ni(æ³¥æ¯)and Ri(æ—¥æ¯);ect.â‘¡The finals:somewords of You-Hou(尤侯部)changed into Yu-Mo(鱼模部);terminalsounds with -n,-m or - mixed up;some second division words ofgutturals in shan She(山摄)and xian She(咸摄)changed into the firstdivision ones; some ringent and close of gutturals whose terminalsounds end With -n,-m or - mixed; ect. In the end,we draw a conelusion that Min Dialect is old-line andit's scale had come into being in the Song Dynasty largely. |
