Outline Of Qin Mu Prose Art

Qin Mu is one of the most brilliant prose artist in Chinese contemporary literary history,whose remarkable achievements in prose creation and unique artistic styles have been highlyvalued. But for a long time, the studies on Qin Mu抯 prose have been confined to a narrowaspect. Althoi~h some accomplishments have really been achieved, we still lack an overallunderstanding of his works. In this thesis, the author intends to view Qin Mu抯 prose as adynamic process, and carry out a close and historical examination on them in order toillustrate his creative view on prose, explore his artistic connotation, describe, being aChinese intellectual with a strong sense of mission, his existence state as well as his greatlonging for life.This article, apart form the introduction, is composed of four chapters.The first chapter is Qin Mu抯 life story and his creation process, which will be dividedinto five stages, iumely, 搕he ideological enlightenment stage? 搕he period of the War ofResistance Against Japan? 搕he socialist construction stage? 搕he ten-year CulturalRevolution?and 搕he new reforming and opening stage? The author will analyse in detailsQin Mu抯 life, his creative history and the connection betweai them.The second chapter well systematically illustrate Qin Mu抯 prose view and sort out allhis theories related to prose creation, which mainly includes the literary form, the literarycharacters, the subjects of prose. Besides, the social functions and requirements of prosecreation will also be touched on.The third chapter is to explore the artistic commotion in Qin Mu抯 works, hispatriotism, his e~ogy to the beauty and his condemnation on the evil. Mainly form theideological contents, the author will analyse the themes he created in his prose wntten atdifferent historic stages, for example in 1 94&? 搕he patriotism and democracy? in I 96O~~,搕he eulogy and castigation? in 1 98&? 搕he devotion and the satire?The final chapter embraces Qin Mu抯 artistic styles. From his unique artistic characters.The author comments on his art styles and features, namely his sobriety and vigor, hisprofound knowledge and interesting nature, and his unusual means to explain the truthvividly.2...
