Research On The Poems Of Su Shunqing

Su Shunqing initiated the Poetry and Prose Revolution of Song Dy- nasty when the enchanting charm of Tang poems was lingering and the poems of Xikun Style were prevailing in early Song Dynasty . He, to- gether with Ouyang xiu and Mei Yaochen , reformed the Xikun Style and created a new situation of Song poems . The poems of Su Shunqing are characteristic of simplicity , freshness, loftiness and grandness, which contributed much to the development of Song poems. The thesis is composed of four parts. Part One is attempt to analyze that Su?s works are powerfully influenced by the new political revolution of Qingli Era. Part Two is focused on analyzing what role Su Shun.qing played in the Prose and Prose Revolution of North Song Dynasty. Part Three limits itself to expound upon lofty style of Su?s poems. Part Four concerns the discussion about the characteristics of proseniza- tion of Su's poems.
