This thesis is divided into four chapters.In the first chapter, I firstly trace to the YongWu literature before Tang Dynasty,then I examine the way og the subjective consciousness through which it intervene in theearly developlnent of YongWu literature.In the second chapter,from analysing the works created in Tang and Song Dynasty,I describe the varied, inteose and active subjective consciousness which vividly representsthe typical intellectuals valuable social ambitions and ultimate concern. In a word, thereare three kinds of consciousness: concerned and enterprising consciousness, time and lifeconsciousness, self-discipline consciousness.In the next chapter, I attempt to dig the model of the changing cultural style of thetraditional intellectuals from three angles, that is, the objects, aesthetics and expressive-ness, moreover, I obtain this conclusion from its respective changes and developmentsabout the artistic creation.In the last part, I try to discover the different style and features, which is represent-ed by the artistic character, the relationship between the appearance and spirit, the appli-cation of allusions, the choice between emotion and reason, under the influence of the hu-manlsm.
