After studying the Tudors central governxnent,we can find, one side, the central government of this time kept some old medieval government抯 characteristics; on the other side, it generated some rudiments of modern government抯. The author think that the Tudors central government, as a matter of fact, was a transitive central government. This article is drawn up from four aspects to discuss it. Part One: The Middle Ages?æŒousehold Government? The Middle Ages?England central government could be called æŒousehold Government? The form of this government?s basic connotation was: household, which was composed by king and his servants, was government?s main part. household had a domiant status in the country?s political life,which was expressed by the king who through his servants governed government departments. This meant that the fundamental characteristic of the Middle AgesæŠentral government was?king抯 personal government? Lack of rectifying was another important characteristic of the Middle Ages?æŒousehold Government? Aristocracyt cliques and the church?s existence led to this characteristic?s appearance. The third characteristic was this time?s government department had little defined division. Finally, in order to ?棗 understand æŒousehold Government?s?characteristics comprehensively, we should analysis king and parliament?s relation. In the Middle ages, parliament was a government department subordinated to king. Part Two:Modern Times?æšarliament Government? Modern times?England government could be called æarliament government? It?s fundamental characteristic was: parliament controlled country抯 sovereignty; King was gradually loosing his control over government and becoming a king log, and parliament ultimately controlled central government. Here we should point one thing out explicity that parliament did not accomplish his control over government at one s~oke,but underwent a long process of tempering.
