College students are our country's construction personnel in the 21th century. Their physical and mental development is of great importance to our country's future. Since they are at the later stage of puberty when their body and mind are in rapid change and their personality is in formation, sex issue is one of the primary things that they have to face up to. The development of their sex psychology will directly affect their physical and mental health, personality formation and improvement. Therefore, the study of college students' sex psychology is one of the important issues in quality education at college level.Subjects in this study are from on-campus female students in Central China Normal University (CCNU). The study also selects a small amount of male students for comparative analysis. Through using open questionnaires and self fill-in anonymous investigation forms whose contents have consulted college students' characteristics, relevant books and questionnaires, the study investigates college students' psychological state from such five aspects as sex physiology, sex psychology, sex act, sex value and sex education.The study result shows that the general sex psychological development of female college students at CCNU is positive and healthy; a majority of them have formed correct sex value while a minority lack a proper understanding toward their own normal sex physiological and psychological phenomena, thus feel psychological puzzle and pressure; a certain amount of female students feel contradiction and confusion towards sex value; college students expect normal sex education from schools, etc. Based on the above findings, the study proposes that, for the sake of healthy development of college students' sex psychology, schools must provide formal sex education which basically helps personality development.
