Understanding the Philosophy of feelings is the key to grosping the meanings ofTang xian zu's novels. In this paper, I will try to demostrate the nature of his feel-ings through the research of his ideas of literature.The paper contains an introduction and three majar parts. The introduction isparticularly important because it deals with the social and academic background ofTang xian zu's philosophy of feelings and the significance of the researeh in the Pa-per. In addition, it also shows how a distinctive approach to researher. Part I dis-cusses the nature of feelings throug the aesthetic characters and the socical funcotionsof literature. Part 2 majors in the requests to the writers, including the ideal statethat the writers should attain and the personal writting methods that the writersshould have. Part 3 present an analysis of Four dreams in Lingchuan to prove theviews that have been showed. In all, I confirms that the feelings of Tang xian zupoints the natural feelings of human, and only every one possesses the natural feel-ings can his ideal realm be realized.At last, I ofter special thanks to my dear teacher, my intimacy friends whohave given me mamy instructures and suggestions for this paper.
